Today, the Institute of Physics of the Academy of Sciences
The world is full of coincidences. This one led to my meeting ing. Antonín Fejfar, Ph.D., from the Institute of Physics at the wedding of my wife’s son. And word followed word and I got the opportunity to see the world of science at the Institute of Physics of the Academy of Sciences. Antonín Fejfar is a research fellow at the Institute of Physics of the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic. He is dedicated to the physics of thin films of nanostructured semiconductors intended primarily for photovoltaics and photonics. He is the (co)author of more than 140 publications that have received over 1300 foreign citations (h-index 22), 1 international patent and 1 utility model. He has led several grant projects, including international ones (H2020, FP7, Barrande, DAAD). He has given a number of invited lectures at international conferences and is currently working as a visiting researcher at the Ecole Polytechnique (ParisTech) in France.
This visit reminded me of my beginnings when I worked at Hanychov on the development of PVD titanium nitride layers. Lots of strange equipment, tubes, instruments, technical gases, and a constant desire to discover the world of atoms. A great experience for my beginnings, and a great realization that the world of science has not changed that much. And since the whole team is working on a very significant development today, I will try to bring them together with ECM Greentech. What is being developed here must be forged into an industrial form, and ECM can do that.
