If you do something the same way all the time?

If we do something the same way all the time, it may not always be the same in reality. But the argumentation of practitioners is sometimes very interesting .. in this case, cracks appeared where they never were…

What does it mean? My experience is that behind everything, look for defects in the material. A crack means that in a given place the tensile stress was higher than the material’s strength limit. There are only two possibilities:

• the stress for some unknown reason was higher than usual
  the material’s strength limit at the crack location was lower than usual for some unknown reason

To decide this, you need to look inside the material. I would give the guys from Galvamet laboratories a gold medal for this photo. As the classic would say… BINGO !!!
