Being an forensic expert is not an easy thing in CZ. A lot of requirements and bureaucracy. However, according to the original wording of the law, experts must be relicensed by December 31, 2025. Otherwise, it ends. And what is the condition of the relicensing? Entrance examination according to §10 of the Expertise Act, §3 and 34 of the Ordinance on Expertise. integrity, professional competence and, in the best case, only a fee of CZK 3,000.

The number of forensic experts in the CZ is not developing very favourably. And since with the deadline for license renewal the situation will worsen significantly from 2026, it is already clear that without further changes to the law it will be difficult.

So what do I have left? I guess I’ll go for it, but the brain gets reluctant with age.

I have enough papers for that.
