The meeting of the Czechimplant cluster on March 17 in Vset\u00edn was highlighted by a lecture by Professor J\u00e1n Ko\u0161turiak on the topic “Let’s expect the unexpected”.<\/p>\n

Who is Professor Ko\u0161turiak? President and co-founder of Fraunhofer IPA Slovakia. He works as a consultant and coach in the field of innovation, strategic management, business organization and industrial engineering.<\/p>\n

He graduated in engineering technology at the University of Transport and Communications in \u017dilina. In 1997 he was appointed professor at the University of \u017dilina in \u017dilina, in 2001 as a professor at ATH Bielsko Biala and as an honorary professor at HST Ulm. He has worked for Fraunhofer IPA Stuttgart and TU Wien for a long time. In 1990 he started working as a consultant for industrial companies. In 1995, he founded the Institute of Industrial Engineering in \u017dilina, which in 2000 merged the activities of Fraunhofer IPA Stuttgart into Fraunhofer IPA Slovakia. He lectures at HST Ulm, TBU Tom\u00e1\u0161 Ba\u0165a, Faculty of Production Technologies Pre\u0161ov, TU Ko\u0161ice and Faculty of Materials Technology Trnava, STU Bratislava.<\/p>\n

Some of his words were really big, almost prognostic:<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Thanks to exponential technologies, we will experience in the next 20 years the changes that humanity has experienced in the last 300 years<\/li>\n
  2. If we want to manage it, it is not enough to follow everything that changes, but we must stick to what is fixed and unchanging<\/strong><\/li>\n
  3. We will have to understand that in a fast, online world, full of information, stimuli, noise and new technologies, it will be important – slowness, silence, disconnection (off line) and awareness of what it means to be human – empathy, respect, mutual assistance and cooperation<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    And what is the result of not respecting it?<\/p>\n

    \"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

    The problem is not that machines take on human labor and go beyond their capabilities, but that people increasingly resemble machines<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

    \"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

    Technique has no ethics, it is our image and tool – we mainly need humanity, so that new technologies help everyone, not just the chosen ones<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

    And conclusion ?<\/p>\n

    \"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

    The only certainty is uncertainty<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

    Let’s learn to make decisions when there is insufficient information<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

    Let us have the courage to change<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

    When everything changes, it is important to know what is immutable<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

    So let’s expect the unexpected, but if we want to survive, let’s stick to our traditions and principles, built hundreds and thousands of years of our civilization<\/p>\n
