{"id":14114,"date":"2026-07-07T07:10:41","date_gmt":"2026-07-07T07:10:41","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.jstconsultancy.cz\/?p=14114"},"modified":"2026-07-31T21:45:09","modified_gmt":"2026-07-31T21:45:09","slug":"development-potential-and-iso-20431","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/intelligent-kalam.80-240-27-133.plesk.page\/en\/development-potential-and-iso-20431\/","title":{"rendered":"Development potential and ISO 20431"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>When we started writing about the development potential for commercial quenching plants by <strong>2035<\/strong>, I neglected to emphasize the position of<strong> ISO 20431.<\/strong> Whether it is <strong>Defense<\/strong>, <strong>Nuclear energy, AM Ecosystem,<\/strong> <strong>Aerospace<\/strong> or <strong>Automotive,<\/strong> compliance with this standard is the absolute foundation, just like <strong>ISO 9001<\/strong>. Why? It is the only standard that openly says what the <strong>order receipt<\/strong> and its <strong>contract review<\/strong> must look like, how to create, assign and implement a technological routing, how to check the result, and finally how to send and invoice the finished order.<\/p>\n<p>It describes the entire <strong>Order to Invoice &#8211; OTI process (OTI)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>And it doesn&#8217;t matter what sector the order comes from, I have to perform these activities always, and always correctly. <strong>ISO 20431<\/strong> represents a revolutionary contribution in that it is the first standard that says how the traceability of the order for which we have determined feasibility actually arises. The <strong>feasibility test<\/strong> (<strong>Contract Review<\/strong>) is a review of the contract, saying that I can accept and register the order to ERP system with regard to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">For documentary feasibility \u2013 the customer exists in our ERP system: yes\/no<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">For commercial feasibility \u2013 the order offer exists: yes\/no<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">For price feasibility \u2013 the price has already been set: yes\/no<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">For time feasibility \u2013 we are able to meet the delivery date: yes\/no<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">For technological feasibility \u2013 we already have a production process: yes\/no<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">For technical feasibility \u2013 we have furnaces to carry out the process: yes\/no<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">For material feasibility \u2013 we have purchased everything we need to fulfill the order: yes\/no<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">For quality standards feasibility \u2013 we have FMEA, PPAP, Quality Agreement, AMS 2759, CQI-9, etc.: yes\/no<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">For testing feasibility \u2013 we have all the necessary control equipment: yes\/no<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">For metallurgical and other properties of the part after heat treatment. Are we able to achieve them reproducibly: yes\/no<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">For SHE feasibility \u2013 are we able to implement the order without violating safety regulations or endangering the health of employees or the environment: yes\/no<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">For legal feasibility \u2013 are we in compliance with ITAR, ISO 27001, NATO standards: yes\/no<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">For OEM feasibility \u2013 are we in compliance with all OEM standards and specifications of customers such as Airbus, Boeing, Safran<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">For financial feasibility \u2013 will the customer pay us for our work, testing against credit limit: yes\/no<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/intelligent-kalam.80-240-27-133.plesk.page\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/chatgpt-image-7-7-2026-00-16-19.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-14097\" src=\"https:\/\/intelligent-kalam.80-240-27-133.plesk.page\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/chatgpt-image-7-7-2026-00-16-19-300x169.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"169\" srcset=\"https:\/\/intelligent-kalam.80-240-27-133.plesk.page\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/chatgpt-image-7-7-2026-00-16-19-300x169.png 300w, https:\/\/intelligent-kalam.80-240-27-133.plesk.page\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/chatgpt-image-7-7-2026-00-16-19-1024x576.png 1024w, https:\/\/intelligent-kalam.80-240-27-133.plesk.page\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/chatgpt-image-7-7-2026-00-16-19.png 1672w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Although this standard is not talked about much, it is clearly a document that determines the behavior of every commercial tempering plant, regardless of market segment and customer structure. They differ at levels 2 and 3, where they are related to certification related to a <strong>given production segment.<\/strong> At the top of the pyramid, superior to everything else, are the <strong>OEM<\/strong> specifications of the end manufacturer. For the <strong>Aerospace<\/strong>, <strong>Automotive<\/strong>, <strong>Energy<\/strong> and <strong>Nuclear Energy<\/strong> sectors, <strong>AM technology,<\/strong> there is a clear trend towards global unification of quality management in the global world. The exception is <strong>Defence<\/strong>, where no global standard exists, and quality is managed at the <strong>national level<\/strong> by individual states and governments. For <strong>NATO<\/strong> states, <strong>NATO<\/strong> standards are a certain link, but even in this case their implementation and control is managed by the state. At the top of the pyramid is <strong>ITAR<\/strong>, applied in the <strong>USA<\/strong>. Its role is different from that of <strong>ISO 27001<\/strong>, and it is quite obvious that in the future it must also be applied within <strong>NATO.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>What are the differences? <strong>ISO 27001<\/strong> protects information in general. <strong>ITAR<\/strong> restricts who you can share certain defense information or technology with.<\/p>\n<p><strong>ISO 27001<\/strong> sets out the requirements for an <strong>ISMS:<\/strong> identifying risks, implementing and maintaining controls, and continually improving them. However, it does not say whether a particular drawing, STL file, or process rule can leave the company or be shown to a particular employee.<\/p>\n<p>In contrast, <strong>ITAR<\/strong> regulates manufacturing, export, temporary import, brokering, defense services, and technical data under 22 CFR 120\u2013130 (1).
